Temple University’s Psychology program ranks fourth in the country. Psychology Faculty at Temple have a strong commitment to scholarly and scientific excellence, also focusing their efforts on excellence in teaching, which has been acknowledged through awards to individual faculty, including Temple’s own "Great Teacher" award, and the Lindback Foundation award.
Psychology faculty have been professionally recognized by election to Fellow status in scientific organizations such as APA, APS and AAAS, and by numerous awards and honors.
In the wider University, the Psychology Department has collaborative arrangements with other departments in the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Health Professions, the College of Education, the College of Science and Technology and the Medical School.
Temple University Ambler is home to the University’s nationally acclaimed Infant lab. The Infant Lab at Temple University Ambler is directed by nationally recognized child development authorities and professors Dr. Kathy Hirsh-Pasek and Dr. Nora Newcombe. The Infant Lab is an excellent research opportunity for Psychology major, particularly those interested in development psychology.
