Undergraduate and graduate students who have successfully completed degree requirements in May 2016, December 2015, or August 2015, are invited to participate in the 129th Annual Commencement of Temple University on Friday, May 6, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Liacouras Center, Main Campus, and the ceremony for Horticulture, Landscape Architecture and Community and Regional Planning graduates at 3:30 p.m., at the Ambler Learning Center Auditorium.
Stand up and be counted!
Horticulture, Landscape Architecture and Community and Regional Planning graduates are encouraged to attend the Commencement at the Liacouras Center on May 6 to represent the Tyler School of Art.
As of December 2015, the Temple University Board of Trustees approved the formation of the Division of Architecture and Environmental Design Program within the Tyler School of Art. The departments of Landscape Architecture and Horticulture, and Community and Regional Planning are now part of this division and therefore part of the Tyler School of Art.
Dean Stinnett will ask that the Tyler School of Art graduates stand and be recognized. Your Graduation day is a very special one. Add to this momentous occasion by standing up.
Graduates, on their own or with family members, can travel to Main Campus and return to the Ambler Campus on a special shuttle bus. If you choose to carpool, we will give you a free parking pass.
From now, through Friday, March 18, graduates may log on and reserve their tickets to the Commencement Ceremony at www.temple.edu/commencement. Parking passes may be picked up from West Hall Room 109, with tickets - dates for ticket pick-up will be April 18-22, 2016.
Academic Regalia - (Cap and Gown)
The required dress for the academic procession at both the Commencement at the Liacouras Center and the Horticulture, Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design Graduation Ceremony is cap, gown, and the appropriate hood.
Academic regalia must be purchased online from now through April 21, 2016 at the Temple University Bookstore. Students can chose to pick up their cap and gown at the Ambler Campus Bookstore in Bright Hall within a few days of their order. After the deadline for online ordering, students can walk into the Main Campus bookstore up to the day of graduation and pay for and pick up their regalia.
