Temple University established the Transportation Angels program for schools in genuine financial need of funding for transportation to and from EarthFest. We encourage all schools to pursue alternative means of transportation funding with local businesses or organizations to ensure that funding is available for as many schools as possible.
We ask that if multiple teachers are bringing students to EarthFest from the same school that you combine your Transportation Angels request. In an effort to assist as many schools in the region as possible, we can only provide one Transportation Angels reimbursement per school.
The Transportation Angels application deadline is Friday, March 9. When you are notified of final approval, you will be asked to provide a W-9. If necessary, we can provide the form for you. Transportation Angels Management Process
Once we receive and process your application and notify you of the funding support you will receive, we will be sending a check for that amount directly to the school in the form of a reimbursement to help defray a portion of your transportation cost - please note that Transportation Angels funding will arrive at your school after the date of EarthFest. The check will be made out to the school and NOT to the bus company. We cannot send payment directly to the bus company you will be using. We also cannot reimburse teachers directly. The reimbursement is made to your school.
Please note: Temple University is an approved entity for field trips and other programs for the School District of Phialdelphia. The paperwork is on file with the School District of Philadelphia Risk Management Office.
