Sunday Evening Summer Concert Series 2018

A band performs at the Summer Cincert Series sponsored by Temple University Ambler and Upper Dublin Parks and Recreation

Presented by Upper Dublin Parks and Recreation and hosted by Temple University Ambler. All events are free and open to the public.

For 13 years, the music played on. In 1968, the Temple University Music Festival and Institute was born at the Ambler Campus.

In its heyday, the Music Festival stage was graced by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman, and Duke Ellington. The amphitheater placed the spotlight on rising stars such as Dionne Warwick, Johnny Mathis, and Temple’s own Bill Cosby. Area residents, and many well beyond, fondly remember the “42 Evenings of Musical Excellence” that summers at Ambler would bring.

Each Sunday from July 8 through August 26, music will fill the summer air once more at Temple University Ambler. The campus has teamed up with Upper Dublin Parks and Recreation to bring the township’s Sunday Evening Summer Concert Series to Temple University Ambler for the tenth year.

The concert series is held on the Learning Center Front Lawn and features a wide variety of musical styles. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a relaxed evening of entertainment! Free parking! All concerts are smoke free and pet free. In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be held in the Learning Center Auditorium.

For questions or directions to the campus, please contact 267-468-8000. For more information on the concert series, visit www.upperdublinrec.net or call 215-643-1600, ext. 3443.
