Research Centers and Laboratories

The Ambler Campus is home to facilities that support research such as:

Ambler Aquaponics Research Laboratory 
450-gallon pool. Accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Animal Care (AALAC).

Temple University Ambler Research Collaborative
Multi-disciplinary group of researchers that procure and conduct research based out of the Ambler Campus.

Center for Sustainable Communities
Land use and water resources planning and management, environmental protection, ecological restoration, and community revitalization.

Temple University Infant and Child Laboratory
Three experimental spaces studying spatial development, memory, language development, reading, and role of play in learning.

Law Enforcement Training Center
The following spaces are available for research and training, a Non-Lethal Training Ammunition (NLTA) facility, a confined space training simulator, a mock campground including a visitor center, weight room, gym and mat room.

Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
An outreach center of the Fox School of Business and Management, which has been working to help fledgling businesses bridge the gap between concepts to customers since 1983.

Institutional Research and Assessment Testing Center
The Ambler Campus testing centeris certified by the National College Testing Association (NCTA). Temple Ambler’s test center is able to offer certification, licensure and credentialing tests in addition to testing such as the MAT, GED, CLEP and HiSET.

Office of Non-Credit and Continuing Education (ONCE)
ONCE offers a wide variety of non-credit courses and certificate programs at the Ambler and Center City campuses that may help participants prepare for a new job, get ahead in their current career or explore new directions. 

Ambler Campus Technology Center
A computer lab with 85 PCs, 14 high end workstations, and 6 iMacs, laser printing, plotters, scanners, video editing equipment, and a wireless lounge area.
