As the Ambler Arboretum’s new Horticulture Technician, Michelle Lapp performs a wide range of general garden maintenance and works with interns, volunteers and student workers on projects and gardening activities focusing on the gardens of Ambler Arboretum.
Temple’s 2019 Philadelphia Flower Show exhibit, Hip Haven: Hangin’ Loose at a Home Refuge, is a tale of two environments — the reflective, hard surfaces of The Machine and the colorful, free-flowing refuge found in The Haven.
During the Philadelphia Flower Show, Department of Landscape Architecture and Horticulture students and faculty invite visitors to “get hip to living more responsibly.” Temple’s exhibit, Hip Haven: Hangin’ Loose at a Home Refuge, recognizes the stark contrast between the forces in the 1960s that were, and continue, to shape the nation. The exhibit has been recognized with a treasure trove of awards at the 2019 Philadelphia Flower Show!
Horticulture Associate Professor Dr. Sasha Eisenman can’t remember a time that he didn’t have a passion for plants. Eisenman is now bringing that sense of wonder and discovery to a new challenge as Chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Horticulture in the Tyler School of Art’s Division of Architecture and Environmental Design.
