Temple University Ambler offers unique experiences to engage with others through applied activities in a beautiful outdoor setting. Our trained facilitators will guide your group through a series of problem-solving, communication and trust exercises that can be tailored for indoor or outdoor use. 

Recreation, Outdoor Education & Wellness at Temple Ambler offers custom-length programs from one to six hours in length and can accommodate groups of 6 to 60 participants.

Temple Ambler Challenge Course

Are you ready for the challenge? Temple students and student organizations interested in teambuilding and outdoor experiential learning opportunities need look no further than the Temple Ambler Low Ropes Challenge Course.

The state-of-the-art challenge course facility was constructed in 2022 and features a total of 15 elements. Student organizations, classroom teams, research interns and more are invited to explore the teambuilding opportunities offered through the challenge course. Programs for the course are conducted in 2-, 4-, or 6-hour experiences. The programs highlight problem-solving, conflict resolution and foster trust within a group or team. 

Since its inception, the course has welcomed students from the HSC Student Faculty Center and the Cecil B. Moore Scholars and has been part of Temple Wellness Day and New Student Orientation experiences.

Portable Challenge Elements

In addition to the outdoor challenge course facility, Recreation, Outdoor Education & Wellness has multiple portable elements and a highly trained staff that can deliver programs at any location, indoors or out. Options for the portable elements include 1-, 2-, or 4- hour experiences.

Temple Ambler Challenge Course

The state-of-the-art Low Ropes Challenge Course facility at Temple University Ambler was constructed in 2022 and features 15 elements in a woodland setting within the Ambler Arboretum

The challenge course may be utilized to enhance experiential learning opportunities for academic courses and for departmental teambuilding programs. Since its inception, the Challenge Course has played host to cooperative learning exercises by Temple University Undergraduate Admissions, Information Technology Services and more; programs highlighted team building, creativity and thinking outside the box.

Programs for the challenge course are conducted in 2-, 4-, or 6-hour experiences.
