Ambler Arboretum

The Ambler Arboretum is Temple University's public botanic garden, outdoor classroom and living laboratory.  It features a variety of gardens and special collections that provide students with hands-on experiential learning opportunities. This is the perfect setting for students in Temple’s “green” programs, but there are proven benefits of being outdoors that all students enjoy!

Temple Ambler Field Station

The Temple Ambler Field Station is a platform for environmental field research and education, providing access to a diversity of natural habitats including old growth and secondary forests, meadows, ephemeral streams, and designed gardens. Ongoing research at the Ambler Field Station spans multiple disciplines, from the natural sciences to engineering and liberal arts.

Infant and Child Lab

Psychology students may be interested in participating in the work done by our renowned Infant and Child Lab. Our lab performs cutting edge research on spatial development, memory, language development, reading, and the role of play in learning in children from 1 to 8 years old.

Ambler Campus Technology Center

The Ambler Campus Technology Center offers  desktop workstations for student use, access to specialized software, 3D printing and virtual reality. Staff is available to assist with personal computer repairs and debugging. The university’s first Esports facility is located at the Ambler Campus Tech Center - any student can get involved. Learn more about our services.

Library Services

Ambler Campus Library in the Technology Center

Your OWLcard (Temple ID card) is your library card at Temple, and you can use it to access the variety of books, journals, videos and more at the Ambler Library. As part of the larger Temple University Library system, Ambler students can access any of the library resources throughout Temple. Our Ambler Library staff is dedicated to helping students navigate the wealth of information.

Recreation Services

Our campus recreational facilities include a weight room, gymnasium, outdoor pool, plus basketball and tennis courts. Students can also take advantage of several health and wellness options, as well as various recreational activities throughout the academic year. Stop by the Red Barn Gym to rent equipment free of charge!

Law Enforcement Training Center

Temple’s Law Enforcement Training Center, located on Ambler Campus, provides basic training for new police officers and park rangers. Students study topics such as criminal investigations, criminal law, land management law, criminal procedure, courtroom procedure, and crime scene investigations. The Training Center includes a mock campground, police training vehicles and small space training simulator.

Small Business Development Center

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is partly funded by the Fox School of Business and opened on the Ambler Campus in the Spring of 2019. The SBDC helps entrepreneurs and small businesses in our community start, grow, and prosper by providing their expert knowledge.

Summer Programs

Make the most of your summer by taking summer courses. You can complete required courses, squeeze in a double major or minor, and even graduate early. Courses are offered on all Temple campuses and online. First-year students can even get a head start on their college experience by taking summer courses the summer after graduating high school. In addition, our communities of Upper Dublin Township and Ambler Borough offer a variety of parks, restaurants, shops and entertainment venues our students enjoy.
