The Campus Heritage Garden features native and exotic food-bearing plants in a formal orchard-like setting harkening back to the days of the Pennsylvania School of Horticulture for Women. Providing a space for examining the history of this land from indigenous forest stewardship to its later agricultural development, and finally its history as the Pennsylvania School of Horticulture for Women. This garden, with its renovated historic cold frames, also provides a place to explore sustainable food systems and encourage thinking about the future of land use.
