The Information Commons is home to the Ambler Library and Information Technology Services at Temple University Ambler.

Located on the first floor of the Ambler Learning Center in Learning Center Room 106, the Information Commons includes new compact/moveable library shelves, new furniture and redesigned collaborative layout. A significant portion of the Ambler Campus book collection has also returned to the Ambler Campus from the Charles Library where they were housed, and remained available for use.

The Information Commons provides a dynamic space on campus for learning, studying and collaborating.

The Information Commons and the ITS Help Desk are open from Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (regular semester hours) and 8:30 a.m. to 5/5:30 p.m., Monday thorough Friday and closed Saturday and Sunday during the summer. (Contact ITS for any questions related to summer hours.)

The Library includes 11 units of compact, mobile shelving — nine of which are moving carriages, which together have provided the space for 30,000 books in Temple Ambler's Library collection to return to campus in addition to the more than 5,000 books that were already in the library following its move to the Learning Center.

The Library has added individual workspaces in addition to the collaborative spaces and continues to provide service at the service desk, consultations with students, instructional support with faculty members and assistance with intra-campus and interlibrary loan for anyone in the campus community and our surrounding communities — the Library's resources are also available to the public.

There is also a new way to check out books from the Information Commons, a self-checkout system called Meescan.
