Arborer Day events at Temple Ambler

It will be an exciting day at Temple University Ambler on Friday, April 26, Arbor Day, as the Boyer College of Music and Dance, the Temple Ambler Field Station, Recreational Therapy, the Ambler Arboretum and Ambler Campus Recreation, Outdoor Education & Wellness all converge to offer a series of programs highlighting music, dance, research, experiential learning, outdoor education and the environment.

Taking place in the outdoor and indoor spaces of the Ambler Arboretum and the Ambler Campus, this event is neither an exhibition nor a performance. It is an invitation to embrace creativity, dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration in a day-long event that makes visible our interdependence and responsibility for the health of our communities and planet.  

(Re)Charge will include musical performances, dance performances, art installations, interactive art activities that are fun for all ages, and interactive sculptures. View the full schedule.

(Re)Charge is being hosted by Temple Ambler, the Ambler Arboretum and the Temple Ambler Field Station. The event is being held in tandem with Ambler campus events also being held on Friday, April 26 — the Temple Ambler Field Station Spring Research Symposium and the Recreational Therapy Evidence-Based Practice Conference. Temple Ambler Field Station to Host Spring Research Symposium

All faculty, students and staff are invited to attend the Temple Ambler Field Station Spring Research Symposium on Friday, April 26, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Ambler Research and Collaboration Building.

During the symposium, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the exciting projects that students have been working on at the Field Station during the spring 2024 semester during the poster session. Refreshments and light snacks will be served. Register for the event here.

Field Station Research Interns will additionally be presenting at the Annual Biology Undergraduate Symposium in the Science, Education and Research Center, Main Campus, on Monday, April 29! Recreational Therapy Evidence-Based Practice Conference

The College of Public Health will host the Recreational Therapy Evidence-Based Practice Conference at Temple Ambler on Friday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Register online here.

Experience this international conference for recreational therapy students, therapists, administrators, educators, researchers and more! This annual event is inspiring and engaging, and will rejuvenate participants' passion, encouraging them to take action to make meaningful change happen in their therapy practice.

Participants are invited to move from research to practice as they experience:

  • Engaging and invigorating sessions promoting learning, growth and connection.
  • Networking opportunities.
  • The latest recreational therapy trends and research.
  • Participants will leave the conference with the tools, resources, ideas and inspiration to put research evidence into practice, maximizing client outcomes.
