What Does an Experiential Education Facilitator Do?
Experiential Education Facilitators assist with Outdoor Experiential Education programs at Temple University Ambler. Facilitators use field games, the low ropes challenge course and debriefing strategies to help participants develop teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills.
Programs range from two to eight hours and typically include groups of 8–15 participants. Facilitators also follow established safety and risk mitigation procedures, including basic First Aid, participant spotting and local operating procedures.
What Does a Recreation Assistant Do?
Recreation Programming Assistants help deliver recreation programs at the Temple Ambler Campus. Responsibilities include assisting with the Red Barn Gym Fitness Room and other recreational facilities, as well as coordinating and overseeing intramural sports and events.
Recreation Assistants also help maintain safe, clean facilities, ensure participants use fitness equipment appropriately and follow established safety and operating procedures.
What Does an Ambler Campus Pool Lifeguard Do?
Ambler Campus Pool Lifeguards monitor pool activities and help maintain a safe environment for swimmers and guests. Responsibilities include opening and closing the pool area, monitoring weather conditions, identifying and addressing safety concerns, assisting swimmers, maintaining the pool and surrounding areas and providing excellent customer service.
The position requires a Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate with current CPR, First Aid and AED certifications, as well as a background check.
